THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF WHICH MAY PRODUCE:

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
ISOLATED WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH.
ISOLATED PENNY SIZED HAIL.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING MAINLY SOUTH
OF A DIXON TO KANKAKEE AND RENSSELAER LINE. SCATTERED STORMS
WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING...
GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. SCATTERED STORMS
WILL BE POSSIBLE AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT ACROSS THE ENTIRE
OUTLOOK AREA.

DISCUSSION:

SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE OUTLOOK AREA THIS MORNING AS A WARM
FRONT LIFTS SLOWLY NORTH FROM CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND INDIANA.
SLOW MOVEMENT OR TRAINING OF STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL. RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY DECREASE
IN COVERAGE FOR A TIME LATER THIS MORNING AND MIDDAY...BEFORE
REDEVELOPING IN SCATTERED FASHION THIS AFTERNOON AS THE
ATMOSPHERE DESTABILIZES. THESE STORMS SHOULD DISSIPATE EARLY
THIS EVENING. A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE REGION FROM THE
NORTHWEST LATE TONIGHT...WITH SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS AGAIN
POSSIBLE TOWARD THURSDAY MORNING.

PORTIONS OF THE DES PLAINES...DUPAGE...FOX...KISHWAUKEE...
ILLINOIS...IROQUOIS...AND KANKAKEE RIVERS WILL BE IN FLOOD.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THERE WILL BE PERIODIC CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH
TUESDAY...THOUGH THE GREATEST CHANCES APPEAR TO BE THURSDAY
AND AGAIN SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY.

PORTIONS OF THE DES PLAINES...DUPAGE...FOX...KISHWAUKEE...
ILLINOIS...IROQUOIS...AND KANKAKEE RIVERS WILL REMAIN IN FLOOD.
