THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF:
LOCALLY RAINFALL AND POSSIBLE FLASH FLOODING.
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.
HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

PERIODIC THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THIS
EVENING...WITH THE HIGHEST CHANCES AND GREATEST COVERAGE
EXPECTED SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.

DISCUSSION:

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO PERCOLATE
UPWARD FROM TIME TO TIME...PARTICULARLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80
WHICH WILL BE CLOSER TO THE LEFT OVER OUTFLOW BOUNDARY FROM
THIS MORNINGS THUNDERSTORMS. SEASONABLY STRONG UPPER LEVEL
WINDS AND SLOWLY BUILDING INSTABILITY AS TEMPERATURES RISE WILL
RESULT IN A GRADUALLY INCREASING...THOUGH STILL NOT ALL THAT
HIGH OF A THREAT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THIS
AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EARLY EVENING. VERY MOIST CONDITIONS
ALONG WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR REPEATED THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT
SUGGESTS THERE IS A THREAT OF LOCALLY VERY HEAVY RAINFALL
TOTALS WHICH COULD RESULT IN SOME FLASH FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ON MONDAY. SOME OF THESE
STORMS COULD BE STRONG WITH GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLY SOME
MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL.

THERE IS ALSO A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY THROUGH
SATURDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT...ESPECIALLY
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.
