THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS...THE STRONGEST OF WHICH MAY PRODUCE:

FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
LOCALIZED FLOODING.
ISOLATED WIND GUSTS OVER 60 MPH.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY NORTH OF A MOLINE TO
CHICAGO LINE THIS MORNING...WITH SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS
MORE NUMEROUS THIS MORNING ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE
80. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY REDEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80...MOVING OUT OF THE OUTLOOK AREA
BY EARLY THIS EVENING.

DISCUSSION:

THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT AREAS MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 80 TODAY...WITH A FEW ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
POSSIBLE FARTHER NORTH MAINLY THIS MORNING. SOUTH OF I-80
THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING WILL
EXIST. AFTER A LATE MORNING OR MIDDAY LULL...ADDITIONAL
SCATTERED STORMS MAY REDEVELOP ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PART OF
THE OUTLOOK AREA. A FEW STORMS COULD BE SEVERE...WITH THE
MAIN THREAT DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD
SHIFT SOUTHEAST OF THE REGION BY EARLY EVENING.

PORTIONS OF THE IROQUOIS AND KANKAKEE RIVERS WILL REMAIN IN
FLOOD.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

THERE WILL BE PERIODIC CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY
SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...AND AGAIN WEDNESDAY INTO
THURSDAY.
