NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
THUNDERSTORMS...THE STRONGEST MAY PRODUCE:
HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING.
DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:
THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD EASTWARD ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS
OVERNIGHT AND NORTHWEST INDIANA DURING THE PREDAWN HOURS. THE
FLASH FLOODING THREAT WILL BE GREATEST SOUTH OF A STERLING TO
JOLIET TO RENSSELAER LINE. THE SEVERE THREAT AREA IS MAINLY
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.
DISCUSSION:
THUNDERSTORMS ARE PROBABLE TO MOVE EASTWARD OVER THE AREA
OVERNIGHT. THE FOCUS FOR THE HIGHEST COVERAGE OF STORMS...AS
WELL AS INTENSITY AND TRAINING OF STORMS...WILL BE OVER SOUTHERN
PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK AREA...THOUGH STILL SCATTERED HEAVY RAIN
PRODUCING STORMS ARE POSSIBLE NORTH OF THAT AREA.
MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ON PORTIONS OF THE
IROQUOIS...KANKAKEE...AND ILLINOIS RIVERS WITH MAJOR FLOODING
CONTINUING ON PORTIONS OF THE IROQUOIS RIVER IN NORTHWEST
INDIANA.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE INTO THURSDAY
MORNING...ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.
