Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Southeasterly winds will gust up to 35 to 40 mph this afternoon.
This combined with low relative humidity will lead to elevated
fire weather conditions which means fires can escape control more
easily.

A few isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are possible
tonight in association with a cold front.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday and Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Thursday...
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.

DISCUSSION:

An active weather pattern is likely to produce a couple good
chances for thunderstorms, particularly Tuesday afternoon and
evening, and again late Wednesday into Wednesday evening. There is
an increasing threat that the storms late Wednesday afternoon and
evening could be severe.

Strong and potentially damaging wind gusts in excess of 50 mph are
possible Wednesday night and Thursday.
