This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Saturday...Limited Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A quick-moving weather disturbance will bring a period of rain
and snow to the region from Saturday morning through the early
afternoon. Areas near and south of Interstate 88 will likely see
mainly rain with this system, with a period of predominantly wet
snow possible north of Interstate 88 across portions of interior
northern Illinois. Snow may fall heavily enough to accumulate for
a time Saturday morning across far northern Illinois, before
mixing with rain and ending from west to east during the
afternoon.
Areas north of Interstate 88 across interior northern Illinois
could see up to an inch of accumulation mainly on colder surfaces,
though locally higher amounts up to two inches are possible near
the Wisconsin border. If the snow falls heavily enough, there
could be temporary accumulation on some roads, especially bridges
and overpasses.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
