NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Limited Fire Weather Risk.
Flooding is expected along portions of many area rivers.
DISCUSSION:
Breezy southeast winds and minimum relative humidity values of 25
to 35 percent will lead to a low end fire weather risk today. Fuel
moistures are still above 8 percent, so widespread fire danger is
not expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Snow and Sleet Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Breezy conditions with wind gusts of 25-30 mph are expected
Monday. Snow or a wintry mix is possible across northern Illinois
Monday morning. Precipitation will turn to rain Monday afternoon,
but as temperatures drop Monday evening, a wintry mix is possible
along and north of Interstate 80. All rain is once again expected
by Tuesday afternoon. Measurable snow is mainly expected along
and north of Interstate 80, but accumulating ice is not expected.
Flooding is expected along portions of many area rivers.
