SOUTHWESTERN MCHENRY AND SOUTHERN BOONE COUNTIES UNTIL 545 PM CDT...
At 453 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Marengo to near Hillcrest to near Polo.
These storms were moving to the southeast at 5 mph.
Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Belvidere, Rochelle, Marengo, Genoa, Oregon, Mount Morris, Byron,
Polo, Kirkland, Hillcrest, Kingston, Stillman Valley, Davis Junction
and Union.
Including the following interstates...
I-39 between mile markers 100 and 115.
I-90 between mile markers 41 and 57.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
