NORTHWESTERN COOK AND BOONE COUNTIES UNTIL 245 AM CDT...

At 137 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Monroe, Wisconsin to near Beloit to near
Crystal Lake. The strongest storms were located near
Machesney Park and Woodstock. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

At least dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be
possible with the strongest storms in this line.

Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Elgin, Schaumburg, Palatine, Hoffman Estates,
Carpentersville, Algonquin, McHenry, Belvidere, Woodstock, Loves
Park, Machesney Park, Roselle, Sycamore, Wauconda, Barrington,
Harvard, Island Lake, South Beloit and Rockton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
