...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake County
Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake County
Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Lake County
Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County
Des Plaines River at River Forest affecting Cook County
Des Plaines River at Riverside affecting Cook County
Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater affecting Kane and McHenry
Counties
Fox River at Montgomery affecting Kane and Kendall Counties

.Heavy rainfalls of up to 8 inches across portions of northern
Illinois in the past 48 hours have caused significant rises on the
Des Plaines and Fox Rivers. Rivers are still rising in some places
and record stages are possible.

Keep updated to the forecasts if you are in these areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater.
* until further notice.
* At 830 AM Thursday the stage was 10.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
* Recent activity...Flood forecasts for Algonquin were moved to this
location on July 5 2011. Gage zero datum is different from the old
gage location. Flood and action stages have changed.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.0 feet by
Tuesday morning then begin falling.
