THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to Quarter size.
Elevated Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

Flooding continues along many area rivers.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms will develop from west to east across the outlook
area from late this afternoon into this evening, and continue
tonight. A very moist air mass will support the potential for
locally heavy rainfall with these storms, especially if multiple
storms train over the same location. It appears that the greatest
threat of widespread heavy rainfall will be generally south of a
line from Dixon to Joliet to Rensselaer Indiana. In addition,
strong to severe thunderstorms are possible especially this
evening, with damaging winds and large hail the primary threats.
The severe threat should diminish later in the night.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk.
Monday and Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Flooding will continue on many area rivers and new rises are
possible if heavy rain occurs tonight.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed late today and this evening.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

moving east at 25 MPH...
