THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH
DISCUSSION:
Widely scattered thunderstorms are likely this afternoon into
this evening. A strong thunderstorm or two is possible, especially
south of I-80, where the most likely hazard would be strong winds.
With a weak frontal boundary in place and a deep upper low, there could be
some funnel clouds that develop later today. At this time the tornado
threat is low.
In addition, portions of the Kankakee River in northwest Indiana
will remain in flood.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Friday through Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
While the majority of the period will be dry, there is a chance
of period or two of showers and perhaps some thunderstorms Friday
through Sunday.
In addition, portions of the Kankakee River in northwest Indiana
will remain in flood.

Spotter activation is not likely, but may be briefly needed late this
afternoon.
