THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Elevated Tornado Risk.
Elevated Hail Risk...up to half dollar
size.
Elevated Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Fog Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Isolated thunderstorms are possible over northern Illinois into
northwestern Indiana this afternoon. The greater potential for
more organized storms will be by late afternoon into the evening
hours. Strong to severe storms are moving through eastern Iowa
and the responsible system will continue to track eastward
through the evening hours, generating more strong to severe storms.
The most favored window for severe storms will be through early
evening, with locally strong winds, large hail, and locally heavy
rainfall as the main threats. A limited tornado risk exists with
storms near the warm front, which is expected to set up south of
the Illinois and Kankakee Rivers.

In addition...flooding is expected to continue along portions of
the Illinois and Kankakee rivers, with additional river rises
possible tonight due to locally heavy rainfall.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
Limited Fog Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

In addition...flooding is expected along portions of the Illinois
and Kankakee Rivers and possibly other rivers due to rainfall
tonight.
