This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to dime size south of I-80.
Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph south of I-80.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

A region of heavy rain producing showers and a few embedded
thunderstorms will continue into this afternoon while gradually
sagging southeastward. The storms will gradually end from northwest
to southeast late this afternoon and early this evening. The
presence of deep moisture and the expected slow movement of the
showers and storms will result in areas of flooding into the
afternoon, especially in the Chicago metro area into far
northwestern IN.

A few strong thunderstorms will be possible well south of
I-80 this afternoon, with some localized damaging wind gusts
being the primary threat in addition to heavy downpours.
