This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to Quarter Size.
Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Tornado Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Periods of heavy rain producing showers and thunderstorms are
expected today. This heavy rainfall could result in some instances
of flash flooding, especially in the urban areas in and around the
Chicago metro area.

A conditional threat for severe storms also exists this
afternoon. While uncertainty remains with the extent of this
severe threat due to early morning clouds and rainfall, if
sufficient destabilization materializes, the storms
this afternoon could become severe. Large hail and damaging winds
would be the primary severe threats, though a low end threat for
a tornado or two would also exist.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday through Tuesday...
