A few storms are possible this evening south of I-80 with a gusty
wind and small hail threat.

DISCUSSION...

Peak afternoon heat indices of 100 to 107 degrees are expected
away from Lake Michigan on Thursday and 100 to 110 degrees on
Friday away from the far northeast Illinois lakeshore.

Thunderstorms are likely late Friday afternoon through Friday
evening. Some of these storms may be severe and may also produce
torrential downpours with an accompanying threat for localized
flash flooding.

Potentially dangerous swimming conditions are forecast at Lake
Michigan beaches on Saturday.
