DISCUSSION...
Heat indices of 100 to 110 degrees are expected through early
evening for areas away from Lake Michigan.
There remains a chance of thunderstorms tonight, mainly after
midnight. If storms occur, then some could produce very heavy
rain, locally damaging winds, and hail up to the size of quarters.

Peak afternoon heat indices of 100 to 112 degrees are expected
Friday afternoon.
Thunderstorms are likely late Friday afternoon through Friday
evening. Some of these storms may be severe and could also
produce torrential downpours with an accompanying threat for
localized flash flooding.
Hazardous swim conditions are forecast at Lake Michigan beaches
on Saturday and may linger into early Sunday.
