Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening
in association with a cold front which will move through the area.
A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, with damaging
wind gusts the main threat. Locally heavy rainfall is also
possible with these storms.
Warm and humid conditions are expected today prior to the arrival
of thunderstorms. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s and low
90s, with afternoon heat index values reaching the mid 90s in many
spots, and perhaps briefly upper 90s in a few locations.
