This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado Risk.
Limited Hail Risk...up to golf ball size.
Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 65 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
DISCUSSION...
There is a chance for additional isolated to scattered
thunderstorm development this afternoon, mainly near and north of
I-80. A few storms could be severe, with a threat for damaging
hail and winds. A tornado or two can't be ruled out.
Additional storms are possible this evening south of the Kankakee
and Illinois rivers. Gusty winds and small hail would be the main
threats.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk late at night.
Friday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.

High Swim Risk Lake Michigan Shore.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk south of I-80.
DISCUSSION...
Peak afternoon heat indices of 100 to 107 degrees are expected
away from Lake Michigan on Thursday and 100 to 110 degrees on
Friday away from the far northeast Illinois lakeshore.
Thunderstorms are likely late Friday through Friday evening. Some
of these storms may be severe and may also produce torrential
downpours with an accompanying threat for localized flash flooding.
Potentially dangerous swimming conditions are forecast at Lake
Michigan beaches on Saturday.
