Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across far
northern and northeastern Illinois this afternoon. A brief break
is expected after sunset before additional scattered showers and
thunderstorms move through the area overnight. While no severe
weather is expected, gusty winds, occasional lightning strikes,
and downpours cannot be ruled out.
