This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to penny size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Hot temperatures and moderately high humidity will create heat
indices in the upper 90s and lower 100s this afternoon with the
highest values expected across northwest Illinois. These
conditions can lead to heat related illness if outdoors for long
periods of time.


A cold front will bring chances for thunderstorms this evening a
few of which could be strong to severe especially for areas
northwest of a Peru to Aurora to Waukegan line. The primary
threats with any severe storms would be gusty winds and possibly
some hail.
