DISCUSSION...
Widespread showers are expected today and scattered thunderstorms
are also possible, with the slightly higher chances south of I-80
and east of I-55. Temporary heavy downpours are likely and
localized minor flooding is possible. A few stronger storms with
gusty winds and small hail are also possible, mainly east of I-55
this afternoon.
Waves will build along Lake Michigan beaches this afternoon with
a chance for a high swim risk, mainly along the Indiana shore mid
afternoon into evening.
