This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 65 mph.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Temperatures are expected to reach the mid to upper 90s again
today, though with slightly lower humidity levels. Peak heat
indices of 100 to 105 are expected this afternoon.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of a cold front
across northern Illinois this evening. Some of these storms could
be severe, especially north and west of the Interstate 55 corridor
through midnight. Thunderstorm coverage will likely decrease
farther east into northwest Indiana and east central Illinois
later tonight, with the threat of severe weather also diminishing
with southeastward extent.
