This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Late this Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to penny size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Temperatures in the 90s with heat indices in the upper 90s to
around 105 will persist through the afternoon and be slow to cool
through the evening. Avoid strenuous outdoor activities and
prolonged periods of time outside through around sundown.

Additionally, thunderstorm chances arrive mid-to-late evening for
the Rockford metro and surrounding areas and into the far west
and northwest Chicago suburbs. Some of these thunderstorms could
be strong to severe and feature some gusty winds and small hail
