This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk south of I-80 this morning.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk south of I-80.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms will end early this morning south of the
I-80 corridor. Brief downpours and small hail is possible with the
strongest cells, though no organized severe weather is expected.

Gusty west-southwest winds will develop by late morning and will
persist through sunset today. Wind gusts of 35 mph are possible,
especially across northern Illinois north of I-80.

Afternoon high temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s across
much of the area today, however humidity will be lower than the
past few days. Peak afternoon heat indices should top out around
90 near the Illinois-Wisconsin border, and the low to mid 90s
farther south.
