Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Fog Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Patchy fog will continue early this morning, mainly across
interior portions of northern Illinois.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday night...
Elevated Snow Risk, especially along and southeast of I-55.
Wednesday...
Significant Snow Risk, especially along and southeast of I-55.
Thursday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.
Friday and Saturday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Chances for snow, falling heavily at times, and potentially
significant travel impacts are increasing for Tuesday evening
through Wednesday morning, especially for areas near and southeast
of Interstate 55. Snow covered roads may lead to significant
travel challenges during this period. A sharp cutoff in snowfall
is possible across far northern Illinois.

An additional wave of snow may impact parts of the region, most
likely areas south and east of I-55, late Wednesday night through
Thursday.
