DISCUSSION:
A rapidly strengthening area of low pressure will track across
central or northern Indiana on Thursday night. As a result, strong
northerly winds gusting to 45 to 50 mph are becoming likely from
southern Lake Michigan southward to eastern Illinois and northwest
Indiana. Lakeshore flooding impacts are also becoming likely,
especially along the Indiana shore, and possibly the Cook County
shore. Finally, periods of moderate to heavy rainfall may cause
ponding on some roadways, especially along and southeast of
Interstate 55.
