This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Tornado Risk.
Limited Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening,
primarily north of I-80. A couple of these may approach severe
limits.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to increasing in coverage
across far northern Illinois late this evening into overnight. A
few of these storms may be gusty, but the more elevated risk is
for flooding, possibly flash flooding. This is the highest near
the Wisconsin stateline.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Elevated Flooding Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Rain will gradually diminish in intensity across northern
Illinois Wednesday morning, with some flooding risk continuing
in far northern Illinois during the morning.
Rain will increase in coverage Wednesday evening and persist
into the night, though it is uncertain yet how widespread this
rain will be. Some of this rain will likely be heavy and may
present at least a localized flooding risk.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
The need for spotters north of I-80 cannot be ruled out late
this afternoon into tonight.
