AFTERNOON AND EVENING MAINLY OVER CENTRAL AND WESTERN
ILLINOIS...ROUGHLY SOUTH AND WEST OF A LINE FROM THE QUAD
CITIES...TO PONTIAC...TO GIBSON CITY. WHILE SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT
ANTICIPATED...ANY THUNDERSTORMS WHICH MAY OCCUR WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
THERE WILL BE AN INCREASED RISK OF RIP CURRENTS ALONG PORTIONS OF
THE INDIANA SHORE OF LAKE MICHIGAN WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF OCCASIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE AREA FROM THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT.
HOT AND HUMID WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO RETURN TO THE REGION LATE THIS
WEEKEND INTO NEXT WEEK. EARLY INDICATIONS ARE THAT TEMPERATURES ON
SUNDAY AND MONDAY MAY TOP 90 DEGREES...WITH AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX
VALUES OF 100 TO 110 DEGREES.
