NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME MAY PRODUCE:

BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.
FREQUENT LIGHTNING.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

A COLD FRONT MOVING SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION COULD SPARK
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS
AND NORTHWEST INDIANA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

DISCUSSION:

ELEVATED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE ALREADY DEVELOPED EARLY THIS
AFTERNOON ACROSS EASTERN IOWA AND NORTHWESTERN ILLINOIS. A
CONDITIONAL SEVERE THREAT WOULD BE DEPENDANT ON THE BOUNDARY
LAYER RECOVERING FROM EARLIER CONVECTION.

LOCATIONS ON THE DES PLAINES AND DU PAGE RIVERS WILL REMAIN
ABOVE FLOOD STAGE THROUGH TONIGHT.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

THERE WILL BE PERIODIC CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY.
