Short Term Weather

.NOW...
AT 1035 PM CDT...RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE SCATTERED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS. THE
STRONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED OVER OGLE COUNTY...FROM BYRON TO NORTH
OF ROCHELLE...AND WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT AROUND 30 MPH. THIS
THUNDERSTORM WILL LIKELY AFFECT SOUTHERN PARTS OF THE ROCKFORD
AREA BETWEEN 1040 PM AND 1130 PM...AND WILL LIKELY MOVE INTO THE
KIRKLAND AND BELVIDERE AREAS BY 1115 PM CDT. BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS
AND OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING CAN BE EXPECTED WITH
THESE STORMS. ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO
AFFECT THE AREA OVERNIGHT.
