AT 1125 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS...
GENERALLY TO THE NORTH OF A MENDOTA TO DOWNTOWN CHICAGO LINE.
THESE INDIVIDUAL STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT AROUND 35 MPH.
THROUGH 1230 AM CDT...THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL LIKELY AFFECT
PORTIONS OF NORTHERN OGLE COUNTY INTO SOUTHERN BOONE AND SOUTHWEST
MCHENRY COUNTIES...WHILE OTHER STORMS WILL AFFECT MAINLY CENTRAL
PORTIONS OF THE CHICAGO METRO AREA FROM SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL KANE
COUNTY INTO CENTRAL COOK COUNTY. BRIEF DOWNPOURS OF A HALF AN INCH
TO THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH OF RAINFALL...OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING...AND WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH WILL BE
POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGER STORMS. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN
EFFECT FOR THE AREA THROUGH 7 AM CDT. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL OF AN
INCH OR MORE MAY BE POSSIBLE IF SEVERAL STORMS TRACK ACROSS THE
SAME LOCATIONS.
