THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

INTENSE HEAT.
MARINE FOG PUSHING INTO DOWNTOWN CHICAGO.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

INTENSE HEAT IS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON AWAY FROM LAKE
MICHIGAN.

DISCUSSION:

IT CONTINUES TO BE VERY HOT AND HUMID ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE
FRONT WITH HEAT INDEX READINGS ABOVE 105 DEGREES...TO SOME
LOCATIONS IN NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS ABOVE 110 DEGREES.

MARINE FOG CONTINUES TO IMPACT THE SOUTHERN TIP OF LAKE MICHIGAN
LATE THIS AFTERNOON. THIS FOG LAYER HAS ALSO PUSHED INLAND INTO
LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES IN ILLINOIS. VISIBILITIES WILL FLUCTUATE
AT TIMES BETWEEN ONE HALF MILE TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

INTENSE HEAT WILL CONTINUE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WITH HEAT
INDEX READINGS OF 105 TO POSSIBLY AS HIGH AS 115 LIKELY BOTH
AFTERNOONS.

A PERIOD OR TWO OF THUNDERSTORMS COULD OCCUR FRIDAY THROUGH THE
THE WEEKEND.
