NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME MAY PRODUCE:
BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.
FREQUENT LIGHTNING.
AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:
A COLD FRONT MOVING SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION COULD SPARK
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS
THIS EVENING. THE GREATEST THREAT IS ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS...WEST OF THE FOX RIVER VALLEY.
DISCUSSION:
A COLD FRONT SAGGING SOUTH ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA IS EXPECTED
TO BE THE FOCAL POINT FOR ANY NEW THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT INTO
THE EVENING. LINGERING CLOUD COVER HOWEVER IS MAKING IT
DIFFICULT FOR THE ATMOSPHERE TO BECOME UNSTABLE...THUS MANY
AREAS MAY SEE THE COLD FRONT PASS THROUGH DRY.
LOCATIONS ON THE DES PLAINES AND DU PAGE RIVERS WILL REMAIN
ABOVE FLOOD STAGE THROUGH TONIGHT.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
THERE WILL BE PERIODIC CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NECESSARY THROUGH TONIGHT.
