NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

HEAT INDICES 100 TO 110 DEGREES TODAY.

CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS...SOME COULD PRODUCE:
DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.

DISCUSSION:

VERY WARM AND HUMID AIR OVER THE AREA WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDEX
VALUES IN THE 100 TO 110 DEGREE RANGE TODAY.

UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES PIVOTING AROUND A MASSIVE DOME OF HEAT
OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS COULD TRIGGER THE DEVELOPMENT OF A
THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING...AND AGAIN TONIGHT. A COLD FRONT WILL
DROP SOUTH INTO NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND FAR NORTHWEST INDIANA BY
DAYBREAK TUESDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

PERIODIC CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR FROM THURSDAY
THROUGH SUNDAY.

HEAT INDICES OF 100 TO 110 ARE POSSIBLE EACH DAY TUESDAY THROUGH
SUNDAY...EXCEPT WINDS OFF OF LAKE MICHIGAN WILL KEEP AREAS NEAR
THE LAKE FROM GETTING QUITE AS HOT TUESDAY AND THURSDAY.
