Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 50 to 60 mph on an
isolated basis near and south of I-80.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to focus near and south of
I-80 this afternoon and early evening, until about 9 PM CDT. The
strongest storms will produce torrential downpours and gusty
winds, with a low (around 5%) chance of wind damage. To the north
of I-80, isolated thunderstorms may produce localized downpours.
