Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Dangerous heat and humidity will continue across much of
northeastern IL and northwestern IN today, with peak afternoon
heat indices near 105 degrees.

Thunderstorms will redevelop across northern Illinois this
afternoon, then gradually sag south into this evening. The
strongest storms will be capable of producing locally damaging
wind gusts and torrential rainfall that could result in localized
flash flooding.
