DISCUSSION...
A decaying complex of thunderstorms is moving into western
Illinois early this morning, with storms expected mainly along and
west of the I-39 corridor. Additional isolated to widely
scattered thunderstorms are possible later this afternoon and
evening, mainly northwest of I-88. While not expected to be
widespread, an isolated damaging wind gust can't be ruled out with
these storms. Some of these storms may also produce brief
torrential downpours which could lead to minor localized flooding.
Additional thunderstorms may approach north central Illinois
again toward sunrise Wednesday.
