Level 1 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to Quarter size.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of a cold front
early this afternoon. Some storms may become strong between 1 and
4 pm, particularly to the east of the Fox Valley in northern IL.
Some of the strongest storms may produce instances of hail to the
size of Quarters and locally strong wind gusts to 60 mph. The
storm threat will subside later this afternoon.
