DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorms are possible across northwest Illinois along and
west of the Interstate 39 corridor this evening. These storms may
produce strong to severe wind gusts before weakening by the late
evening.

High waves will lead to dangerous swimming conditions at Lake
Michigan beaches north of Evanston through this evening.
