DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across northwest
Illinois later this afternoon, then move eastward across the rest
of northern Illinois and possibly into northwest Indiana this
evening. Cloud to ground lightning, briefly gusty winds, and
torrential downpours will be the primary threats, though one or
two of the stronger storms could produce very localized damaging
winds up to 60 mph.

Thunderstorms are likely Wednesday ahead of a cold front which
will move through the area Wednesday evening. Strong to severe
thunderstorms are possible especially during the afternoon hours.
Damaging winds, large hail and brief tornadoes are possible, in
addition to locally heavy rainfall.
Isolated strong storms are possible across southeast Wisconsin
