This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms will continue southeast of Interstate 57
and along the Interstate 39 corridor in north central Illinois through
early evening. The main hazards with these storms will be torrential
rainfall which could result in flash flooding. The main concern area
for flooding will be northeast of Interstate 55.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday through Monday...
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Hot and humid weather will develop this weekend into
early next week. Peak afternoon heat indices at or above 100
degrees are expected for several days.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not needed, however reports of any flooding will
be appreciated.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

For areas southeast of Interstate 57, moving toward the northeast at 40 mph
For areas farther northwest toward Rockford, slow storm motions to the east
at 5 to 10 mph.
