...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois,
including the following counties, in north central Illinois,
Boone, De Kalb, Lee and Ogle. In northeast Illinois, McHenry.
* WHEN...Until 830 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 531 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall moving
into the area with rainfall rates exceeding 1 inch per hour.
Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Isolated rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible over
the area, which may cause flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
DeKalb, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, McHenry,
Belvidere, Woodstock, Huntley, Sycamore, Dixon, Fox Lake,
Rochelle, Harvard, Island Lake, Marengo, Poplar Grove, Genoa,
Cary, Johnsburg and Lakemoor.
