This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to Dime Size.
Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Widely scattered thunderstorms are possible across northern IL and
northwestern IN into early this evening. Thunderstorm coverage
will then likely increase in coverage this evening into tonight.
While some threat for a few strong storms exists south of the I-80
corridor through the evening, the main hazards from these storms
is expected to be lightning, heavy down pours and some locally
gusty winds strong enough to down small branches and tents.

Locally heavy rainfall is likely tonight, and this may result in
significant ponding on area roads and possible minor flooding.
