This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Strong northerly winds gusting to 30 mph are expected today
across the area, and gusting to 35 mph along the Lake Michigan
shore. Winds will slowly diminish tonight. With the strong north
winds and a long fetch down the length of Lake Michigan, waves
will build to 12 feet or slightly higher, which will likely
produce minor to moderate lakeshore flooding and exacerbate beach
erosion due to high lake levels. Both the Illinois and Indiana
shores will be affected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Saturday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Gusty south winds will develop ahead of an approaching cold front
on Saturday, becoming northwest behind the front on Sunday. Gusts
of 30 to 40 mph are likely, with the strongest winds expected on
Sunday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
