This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size in northwest Indiana.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph in northwest
Indiana.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk for the northwest Indiana lakeshore.

DISCUSSION...

A sharp cold front will move though the area this morning and
early this afternoon, with a period of showers and thunderstorms.
Most of these storms will occur behind the cold front, and are
not expected to produce severe weather. However, a few storms
could develop ahead of the front east of the I-57 corridor and
primarily in northwest Indiana late this morning through midday
which could pose a brief severe threat with damaging winds and
large hail. The thunderstorm threat should move east of the area
by early afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk for the northwest Indiana lakeshore
Saturday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the northeast at 50 mph.
