Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Significant Frost Risk tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Wind gusts to 30 to 35 mph and dry conditions will be seen
primarily south of Interstate 80 this afternoon, resulting in
an elevated fire weather risk.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Saturday...
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Significant Fire Weather Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Saturday will have strong southerly winds with peak gusts up to
45 to possibly 50 mph. These gusts will be enough to blow loose
objects and potentially make driving hazardous for high profile
vehicles. In addition, with the dry conditions in place, Saturday
will be favorable for a rapid spread of brushfires or wildfires.
