This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Fog Risk this morning.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk tonight...up to quarter size.
Limited Flooding Risk overnight.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Areas of dense fog will continue south of I-80 through mid morning
and may advance to some places north of I-80 for a brief period.
After early morning thunderstorms depart, the day will be free of
storms. The likelihood of some thunderstorms will return into
north central Illinois late this evening and across much of
northern Illinois overnight. A few of these storms, mainly in
north central Illinois, could produce marginally severe hail and
wind gusts over 45 mph. In addition, some minor flooding is
possible in poor drainage areas.
Southerly winds will increase late today into tonight. Some gusts
to 40 mph are possible this evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Some thunderstorms will likely be ongoing Friday morning. Some
minor flooding is possible in poor drainage areas.
