Elevated Thunderstorm Risk late near I-39.
DISCUSSION...
Gusty southwest winds will become northerly this afternoon
resulting in quickly-developing dangerous swimming conditions this
afternoon.
Thunderstorms may approach portions of far north-central Illinois
very late tonight.

DISCUSSION:
Showers and thunderstorms are likely across much of northern
Illinois through Sunday morning. Some of these storms could be
strong to marginally severe with a threat for locally damaging
winds and hail although storms are expected to be on a gradual
weakening trend.
Thunderstorm chances are expected to continue through the middle
of the week. There also is potential for heavy rain at times.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected through late tonight but may
be needed early Sunday morning.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE NIGHT:
Moving toward the southeast at 40 mph.
