DISCUSSION:

A strong storm system will move through the region from late Saturday night through early Monday. Precipitation will likely develop as rain or a mix of rain and snow late Saturday night or early Sunday, and will likely change over to all snow from northwest to southeast across the area late Sunday and Sunday night. The potential exists for several inches of accumulation before snow ends early Monday morning. It is important to note that the exact track of the storm remains uncertain at this distance, and will be further refined.

Northerly winds gusting 30 to 35 mph may produce large waves on southern Lake Michigan Sunday night and Monday. This may result in lakeshore flooding along portions of the Illinois and Indiana shores of Lake Michigan.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
